Shopping streets in the center
The biggest area for shopping in Rome is the area around Via del Corso. On one side it goes to the Spanish Steps and on the other side to the Tiber. Nice little boutiques can be found along the ancient pilgrimage paths from Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori towards the Vatican and along Via dei Giubbonari, which leads from the ghetto to Campo de’ Fiori.
Many shops can also be found in Via Nazionale, which leads from Piazza della Repubblica to Piazza Venezia.
On the other side of the Tiber you will find interesting shops in Via Cola di Rienzo, from Piazza del Risorgimento at the Vatican towards Piazza del Popolo.
Just outside, but well reachable by metro line A, you will find shops on the Via Appia Nuova between San Giovanni and Piazza Re di Roma.
Via del Corso
The most famous shopping street is Via del Corso. Here arrived the travelers and pilgrims from the north. Many foreigners took up residence here on their trip to Rome. It connects Piazza Venezia with Piazza del Popolo and is easily accessible by bus and metro line A. Via del Corso offers shops of all price categories for clothing and cosmetics. In the side streets there are nice little restaurants and pastry shops. Fashion chains such as Zara, H&M, Ralph Lauren, Subdued, Nike, Oisho, Sisley and Brandy Melville or beauty shops such as Sephora, Kiko or Lush have their branches here.
The most prominent shopping street is Via dei Condotti, which leads from Via del Corso to Piazza di Spagna. On this famous street of luxury shopping you will find high end designer brands such as Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Gucci, Moncler, Valentino and Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Cartier and Tiffany. At impressive fashion shows, models on high heels totter down the Spanish Steps.
Fendi once started working in Rome with furs and leather and financed the last restoration of the Trevi Fountain. The watch and jewelery dealer Bulgari opened his first boutique in Via dei Condotti 28. He financed the restoration of the Spanish Steps. Valentino founded his fashion house in 1957 in Rome. Tod’s shoe store also runs a boutique on Via dei Condotti. Although the family is not from Rome, they financed the restoration of the Colosseum.
An attraction for children is the Disney Store, which, coming from Piazza del Popolo, is on the left after Via dei Condotti.
Vintage
If you are more into vintage clothing there is Pifebo with several branches in Rome. Monti has many vintage stores in the area around Via dei Serpenti. There is a branch of Humana Vintage on Via Cavour. Otherwise you can find on the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and in some side streets other no-name vintage or second hand shops.

Art and antiques shops in Rome
A well-known street of artists is Via Margutta. It is located behind Via del Babuino, which leads from the Spanish Steps to Piazza del Popolo. However, vacation homes for tourists have displaced many artists.
Famous for antiques is Via dei Coronari, which is located behind Piazza Navona in the direction to the Angel’s Bridge. Also on the Sunday market Porta Portese antiques can be found.
Shopping centers
Around Rome, there are several shopping malls on the highways. However, they are not easily accessible by public transport.
The largest shopping centers are the Maximo on via Laurentina, Parco Leonardo on the railway line to Fiumicino airport, Euroma 2 on Via Cristoforo Colombo towards Ostia and Porta di Roma in the northeast – bus lines 38 and 80.
Outlet Villages
In the south of Rome there are two outlet villages. They are best reached by car.
The Outlet Village Castel Romano is located on the Via Pontina halfway to Pomezia Shopping Tour Castel Romano. There is also the theme park Cinecittà World.
The Valmontone Outlet is on the motorway to Naples, exit Valmontone. There is also the theme park Rainbow Magicland.
